Gunnm is a manga signed Yukito Kishiro who was entitled to OAV, manga suites called Gunnm Last Order and Gunnm Mars Chronicle, a novel and even a video game! The common point between Alita: Battle Angel and Gunnm? It's simple, Alita: Battle Angel is a promising film-live adaptation of the Gunnm manga.

The story tells of a cyborg (Gally in the manga, Alita in the film) that was repaired by Dr. Daisuke Ido. The universe is a Post apocalyptic Earth struck by a meteorite that gives way to a landfill controlled by the all-powerful Zalem.
