If you grew up with the crazy humor of The Emperor’s New Groove, this duo probably brings a smile right away. This official resin statue, about 28 cm tall in 1/10 scale, brings Kuzco and Yzma together in a single diorama with a very theatrical feel. Produced by Iron Studios for the Deluxe Art Scale line, it packs the movie’s universe into one piece, with the main characters standing on a base inspired by the empire’s architecture.

On one side you’ve got Kuzco, the spoiled young emperor who’s convinced everything revolves around him, forced to learn humility after he’s turned into a llama. On the other side stands Yzma, his former advisor, ready to do anything to steal the throne with her over-the-top schemes and potions. Their clash drives the whole story, mixing comedy, betrayal and a lot of attitude. The statue really plays on that dynamic: Kuzco looks relaxed and smug, while Yzma poses tall and dramatic, as if she was plotting her next move right behind him.

The figure shows Kuzco leaning slightly, wearing his red robe and fan-shaped golden headdress, with thin legs and gold sandals, his sideways glance perfectly capturing his arrogant side. Just behind him, Yzma rises in a long, tight black dress, her shoulders framed by a large purple feather-like collar, pale skin and sharp features, topped with an exaggeratedly tall purple hat that stretches high above her head. The base is sculpted like stacked stone blocks with carved patterns and golden details, small building-like shapes and towers, and even tiny stylized characters, including a little red devil near Kuzco and a small light-colored figure on a tower. All together it creates a detailed display that instantly recalls the movie’s setting and stands out nicely in any Disney collection.
