PREORDER - Dragon Ball - Great Ape Son Goku figure, Solid Edge Works

Son Goku, the famous hero of Dragon Ball, joins Banpresto's Solid Edge Works collection with this 18 cm figure depicting his Great Ape transformation, also known as Oozaru. Inspired by Akira Toriyama's manga and its anime adaptation, this PVC and ABS collectible highlights the young Saiyan's beast-like appearance, featuring massive muscles, thick dark fur and red eyes. His threatening pose, with both arms raised and his mouth wide open, captures the uncontrollable power of this transformation. The sculpt pays particular attention to the texture of the fur and the creature's anatomical details.

In Dragon Ball, Son Goku possesses a monkey-like tail from birth, a legacy of his Saiyan origins that he remains unaware of during his early adventures. When he looks at the full moon, he can transform into an Oozaru, an enormous ape possessing physical strength far greater than his normal form. Unable to control this transformation as a child, Goku becomes a destructive creature that attacks everything around him. This ability plays an important role in the early episodes of Dragon Ball, particularly during his imprisonment in Pilaf's castle, where the light of the full moon triggers his transformation. This Solid Edge Works figure recreates Goku's savage appearance in this form, featuring a roaring pose that emphasizes his uncontrollable nature.

The figure depicts Goku transformed into a Great Ape, standing on powerful, slightly bent legs with both arms raised above his head and his fists clenched. His massive body is completely covered in thick dark brown fur, featuring numerous sculpted strands and textured details that recreate the appearance of his coat. His face has a beige muzzle, large pointed ears and aggressive red eyes. His wide-open mouth reveals a pink tongue, red gums and long white fangs. His hands and feet feature large digits with black nails, while his long monkey tail extends behind his legs. The overall composition captures a dynamic roaring stance reflecting the primal nature of his transformation.
