It instantly brings to mind those classic fantasy “trap monsters”: a Mimic is the kind of thing you don’t want to get too close to without thinking twice. This official Youtooz figure is made in vinyl and stands about 10 cm tall, with a deliberately stylized monster look.

In fantasy games and worlds, the Mimic’s job is simple: make you suspicious, lure you in, and spike the tension in a split second. It’s memorable because it turns curiosity into danger, fast. What you see is a wide-open mouth-like creature set on a gray hexagonal base.
