Ghost in the Shell (1995) - Motoko Kusanagi figure, Original Color Edition

In Ghost in the Shell, Motoko Kusanagi is one of the most striking figures in Japanese science fiction, standing at the crossroads of investigation, cybernetics, and questions of identity. As the Major of Section 9, she is immediately recognizable through her cool presence, tactical intelligence, and deep connection to a world where the line between human and machine keeps fading. This official Motoko Kusanagi, Original Color Edition polystone figure by With Fans!, in 1/4 scale, stands approximately 28 cm tall and presents the character in a composition deeply rooted in the cyberpunk aesthetic of the series.

Within the world of Ghost in the Shell, Motoko holds a central place as a field leader, strategist, and the focal point for many of the story’s major questions about consciousness, the body, and technology. Her relationship with her own cybernetic body, her combat mastery, and her authority within Section 9 make her both formidable and deeply complex. She brings a rare intellectual and physical tension to the narrative, always balancing total control with inner questioning. This figure reflects that identity well by presenting her in a tense, introspective attitude that fits her singular aura perfectly.

Visually, the piece shows Motoko kneeling on a blue circular base with a technological look, her head tilted back and her long purple hair falling behind her. Her body is covered with numerous cables, connectors, and mechanical elements in gold, black, and red running along the arms, torso, back, and legs. She holds a gray futuristic weapon in one hand, while multiple cybernetic details remain visible throughout the overall silhouette. The base, exposed wires, and posture create a very strong composition that feels immediately tied to the visual world of Ghost in the Shell.
