Gintama Exhibition Part 2 - Kamui figure, Ichibansho

In Gintama, Kamui is one of the series’ most striking characters, with a presence that blends violence, apparent calm, and immediate intensity. A member of the Yato clan and an important figure connected to Kagura and Umibozu, he stands out in the story through his dangerous charisma and his role in several major confrontations. This official Kamui PVC figure by Bandai, from the Ichibansho line, stands approximately 20 cm tall and presents him in a restrained version that stays very faithful to his recognizable look.

Within the world of Gintama, Kamui holds an essential place as an antagonist and later a more layered figure, always defined by extreme strength and a deeply complex relationship with his own family. Behind his calm smile and seemingly light attitude, he embodies a frightening brutality tied to his Yato heritage and to his distorted view of power. His bond with Kagura, his conflict with Umibozu, and his place within the Harusame give the character real depth, balancing rivalry, buried pain, and a drive for domination. He brings a very specific kind of tension to the story, colder and sharper than many others, and the figure reflects that well through a straight and controlled attitude.

Visually, the piece shows Kamui standing in a very calm frontal pose, with one hand raised near his face. He wears a long black outfit tied with a blue sash, along with a large light-colored cloak falling on both sides of the body and opening slightly at one side. His tall black boots, bandaged sleeves, and broad fabric volumes reinforce the austere elegance of the design. His orange hair falls in soft strands with a visible braid at the side, while several white wraps around the head frame his blue eyes and slight smile. The silhouette remains very clear, with strong shelf presence thanks to the contrast between black, white, and blue.
