In Gintama, Gintoki Sakata hides a formidable past as a warrior in the Joi War behind his everyday life as the leader of the Yorozuya. MegaHouse revisits that period with the PVC G.E.M. Carat Series Gintoki Sakata Ver. Joi-Shishi figure, depicting the character during his younger years as a Joi rebel.

Long before his adventures with Shinpachi and Kagura, Gintoki distinguished himself on the battlefield under the name Shiroyasha, the White Demon, fighting alongside figures such as Katsura, Takasugi and Sakamoto. This Joi-Shishi version returns to the younger Gintoki shaped by the war and his struggle against the Amanto, presenting him with a calm demeanor that contrasts with the fearsome reputation he earned in battle.

Gintoki is shown standing with one leg slightly forward and both hands positioned around his still-sheathed sword. His spiky silver-blue hair frames a serious expression, while he wears dark clothing beneath a loose white outer garment with wide sleeves. Several pieces of fabric and ties flow around his silhouette, with black leg coverings and traditional sandals completing the outfit.
