The G11 figure in his "Mind Eraser" skin by Hobby Max captures the unique aesthetic of this experimental German weapon. The G11 was a prototype assault rifle developed during the Cold War, featuring caseless ammunition and a gas-operated twist-lock mechanism.
This rifle stands out for its detachable 45/50 round magazine, loaded from the front above the barrel. Its rotary lock mechanism allowed an impressive rate of fire of 460 rounds per minute on automatic. However, its main feature was the three-round burst firing mode, reaching a blazing rate of 2100 rounds per minute.
The figure's aesthetic faithfully reflects the details of this experimental weapon, with its unique front magazine and compact design. The G11 measures 750mm in length, with a 540mm barrel.
The G11 was intended to revolutionize ammunition with its 4.73 x 33mm caseless cartridges. However, despite the rifle's success, problems with high production costs and difficulties with ammunition development hindered its widespread adoption. Only 265 units were produced, limiting its operational deployment.
This G11 figurine is a tribute to the technical innovation and distinctive design of this weapon which marked the history of armament. A captivating addition to any collection for fans of firearms and military history.
