The Double Mazinger set brings together two pillars of the saga, Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger, staged to reflect their sheer presence and iconic status. This official release by Bandai Tamashii Nations (Bandai) comes from the FiguartsZERO Touche Métallique (Metallic Touch) line and is delivered as a two-statue set made of PVC & ABS, each robot displayed on its own base.

Mazinger Z is often seen as the beginning, the first decisive answer against mechanical enemies, while Great Mazinger represents the escalation, the moment the stakes rise and a stronger response is needed. What makes this set stand out is that conversation between two legendary machines: the same heroic DNA, expressed through two different intensities, like two chapters of the same era of giant-robot storytelling. The chosen stances support that idea, with one robot posed in a bold challenge and the other captured mid-attack, as if the pair is moving in sync before impact.

Visually, both robots follow a very classic super-robot silhouette: a glossy black torso, broad shoulders, white limbs, and navy forearms and boots, finished with a large red V-shaped chest plate. Their heads feature a metallic face with a small red crest detail and colored eyes, while gold ring details accent the joints. One Mazinger is shown with raised arms and clenched fists in a power stance, and the other holds a sword overhead, gripping a gold-toned hilt. Each figure stands on a separate dark grey rocky base, giving the impression of fractured ground beneath their weight.
