Higurashi: When They Cry - GOU - Rena Ryugu figure, Tragic Bunny

In the paranoid and bloody world of Higurashi: When They Cry, Rena Ryugu swings between disarming innocence and murderous impulses. Haunted by the secrets devouring Hinamizawa village, she embodies the psychological tension of a story where horror always lurks beneath the surface.

This “Tragic Bunny” version reimagines Rena in a glossy black bunny outfit, splattered with blood, while keeping her signature unsettling smile. With a weapon in hand, ears perked up, and a deceptively cheerful pose, she blurs the line between charm and danger.

The design thrives on contrast: the sleek outfit—shiny corset, red bow tie, black stockings, laced boots—clashes with the vivid blood stains across her body and clothes. Her bright, almost gleeful expression adds to the unease. Every detail, from her auburn hair to the bloodied cleaver, heightens this tension.

Crafted in PVC at 1/4 scale, the figure stands about 41 cm tall. Produced by FREEing, it features clean finishes: controlled gloss on the outfit, crisp paintwork on the blood effects, and precise sculpting of body and accessories. The bunny ears and bloodied axe complete the figure’s bold, haunting aesthetic.
