In The Apothecary Diaries, Maomao and Jinshi move through the inner workings of the imperial court, surrounded by medical cases, political intrigue and mysteries that repeatedly draw the young apothecary into unexpected investigations. Sakami Merchandise brings both characters together on this officially licensed umbrella, combining a practical accessory with visual elements directly inspired by the series.

Maomao initially works as a servant in the rear palace before her extensive knowledge of medicine and poisons attracts the attention of Jinshi, a high-ranking official known for his striking appearance and influence within the court. Their relationship develops through the many incidents affecting the palace, with Maomao relying on observation and deduction while Jinshi repeatedly involves her in matters far beyond her original duties.

The umbrella uses a predominantly deep green design covered with subtle tonal patterns. Maomao appears on one section in her green clothing, while Jinshi is positioned on the opposite side in a darker outfit with purple accents, creating a mirrored composition around the center. Several series logos are also printed across the canopy, accompanied by small cloud-like decorative shapes near the edges.
