Zoids - AZ-17 Ultra Saurus figure, Plastic Model Kit

In the Zoids universe, Ultra Saurus is a gigantic sauropod-type Zoid designed as a true mobile fortress. Its enormous body can accommodate numerous weapons, pilot stations and equipment distributed across its structure. Measuring approximately 58 cm in length, this motorized 1/72 scale plastic model kit joins Takara Tomy’s ADVANCED Zi line.

Ultra Saurus is designed for large-scale military operations, where its firepower and transport capabilities allow it to support other Zoids across the battlefield. The kit includes six soldier figures that can be placed inside its different cockpits and recreates several of the machine’s mechanical functions. Once activated, Ultra Saurus walks while moving its long neck and tail, animates several mounted weapons and rotates the propellers positioned along the sides of its abdomen, while LEDs illuminate its eyes and chest.

The model features a massive quadrupedal body covered with light grey, dark grey and black armour panels accented by small red markings. Its long articulated neck is formed from numerous mechanical segments and ends in a head with an open jaw, where the red interior contrasts with the darker structure. A large platform across the back carries several cannons, antennas and equipment units, while the long armoured tail extends behind the body. Its four thick legs rest on broad black feet with sculpted claws.
