PRE ORDER - Neon Genesis Evangelion - Shinji Ikari figure, S.H.Figuarts

In Evangelion, Shinji Ikari is the central character of the work and one of the franchise’s most memorable faces. As the pilot of Evangelion Unit-01, he carries a large part of the series’ emotional weight, with a presence that feels far more fragile and inward-looking than that of a typical hero. This official Shinji Ikari PVC figure by Bandai, from the S.H.Figuarts line, stands approximately 14 cm tall and presents him in an articulated format designed for posing and expression.

Within the world of Evangelion, Shinji holds an essential place because much of the story is built through his fears, hesitations, and his need to be accepted. His complicated relationship with Gendo, his connection with Rei, Asuka, and Kaworu, and his painful relationship to piloting all make him a deeply human character in his vulnerability. He brings a rare intimate tension to the narrative, caught between loneliness, a desire for closeness, and an inability to find a stable place in the world around him. That sensitivity, withdrawal, and restrained sadness are exactly what define his identity in the series. This figure reflects that side of him well through a straight posture, a reserved expression, and several alternate face plates that allow different emotional nuances to come through.

Visually, the piece shows Shinji standing in his blue, white, and black plugsuit, with red and gray details across the torso and shoulders. His short brown hair frames a calm and understated face that stays true to his instantly recognizable appearance. The image also shows several included accessories, with different interchangeable face plates, multiple extra hands, an additional upper chest or collar piece, and an articulated display stand with a purple base for varied posing. The overall result keeps a very clear silhouette with strong display potential.
