Albedo is one of the main characters in the anime and light novel series Overlord, a story that explores a world where an online virtual reality game becomes a tangible reality. Albedo is the Overseer of the Floor Guardians in the Great Tomb of Nazarick, a high-level dungeon created by the members of the guild Ainz Ooal Gown, whose leader, Momonga, is the main character of the story. She is madly in love with Momonga and unwaveringly devoted to him. Her personality is a mix of angelic gentleness and demonic ferocity, especially when it comes to protecting or serving her master.

The universe of Overlord revolves around a fantasy world where players of an MMORPG called Yggdrasil are suddenly trapped inside the game after its shutdown. Momonga, a player who decides to stay logged in until the end, finds himself transported to this new world where NPCs come to life. He then adopts the name Ainz Ooal Gown and seeks to discover if he is the only player trapped or if there are others like him. Alongside his loyal servants, including Albedo, he sets out to explore this mysterious world, conquer new territories, and search for answers about the nature of this new reality.
