The Mobile Police Patlabor - Figure Type-J9 Griffon, Plastic Model Kit D-Style

In The Mobile Police Patlabor, the Griffon stands out as the formidable black Labor that challenges the Ingram and leaves a lasting impression through its unmistakable design. Kotobukiya brings it to the D-Style line with this approximately 11 cm plastic model kit, using compact stylized proportions while retaining the defining features of the original mecha. This release is a reproduction of the previously issued model.

Known as the Ingram's rival, the Griffon is characterized by its dark color scheme and striking red camera eye. The kit includes two interchangeable back units, a flight unit connected with ball joints for flexible positioning and an aquatic unit, along with both closed fists and expressive open hands. The camera eye and several gray joint parts are pre-painted to help reproduce its appearance after assembly.

In the configuration shown, the Griffon leans forward in a dynamic stance with one hand open and the opposite arm drawn across its chest. Its almost entirely black armor is broken up by small red accents around the camera eye and waist. Long pointed shapes framing the head, broad shoulder armor and the large winged unit extending from its back give the compact D-Style body an especially sharp and aggressive silhouette.
