If you’re into the more menacing side of Star Wars, the MagnaGuard is hard to ignore. These elite droid bodyguards protect General Grievous during the Clone Wars, marching forward without hesitation even against Jedi. Hot Toys brings one of them to life as a 1/6 scale articulated figure standing about 34 cm tall, complete with its imposing electrostaff and large weathered poncho that look straight out of the screen.

In the story, IG-100 MagnaGuards are built to take lightsaber hits, keep fighting even when badly damaged, and act as an unbreakable shield around Separatist leaders. That ruthless efficiency really comes through in this figure: the tall mechanical body, the rigid battle-ready stance, the red eyes that light up with LEDs and the long crackling electrostaff all give the impression that a relentless bodyguard droid is standing on your shelf. With the different hands and display options, you can pose it either in a calm guard position or mid-charge.

Design-wise, the figure features a dark blue armored chassis covered in scuffs and paint chipping, as if it just walked off a war-torn battlefield. The fabric poncho drapes over the body down to the feet, stained and frayed to sell the battle-worn look. The electrostaff is long and slender, with detailed tips ready for the translucent energy effects. The joints are kept relatively clean, the legs end in heavy mechanical feet, and a Star Wars display stand is included so you can show it off securely.
