PREORDER - Star Wars - Wooden 3D puzzle Droideka

In Star Wars, the Droideka, or Destroyer Droid, is one of the most feared combat machines deployed first by the Trade Federation and later by the Separatists. Ugears reimagines it here as a buildable wooden 3D puzzle, based on its instantly recognizable battle silhouette and its signature transformation gimmick.

Designed to reproduce the shift from its folded form to combat mode, the model uses a system of rubberized levers that allows the structure to be manually folded into a sphere and then released so it springs open. The blaster arms can be folded and deployed independently, and the model offers two activation modes: a direct trigger by gently dropping it or a rolling deployment after locking the mechanism at one or two notches. This feature echoes the Droideka’s on-screen mobility, where it is known for rapid-fire attacks, sudden movement and its intimidating presence against both clone troopers and Jedi.

The model features an open mechanical wooden structure in light beige, copper and brown tones, topped by a large arched shield-like shell. Its narrow head extends forward with two projecting appendages, while both arms carry long parallel blasters aimed ahead. The lower limbs and rear supports also display a highly articulated construction with multiple visible cutouts that emphasize the droid’s mechanical look.
