In the shattered world of Death Stranding 2, Sam walks through rain-soaked, tar-stained landscapes, and this bust captures a nightmarish version of that imagery. The official Sam, Tar Black poly­stone statue stands about 44 cm tall at 1/3 scale and belongs to Prime 1 Studio’s Premium Bust line. Sculpted entirely in a glossy tar-like black, it shows Sam both emerging from and melting into the ooze, his upper body flowing down into a column of liquid that connects to a base stamped with the Death Stranding 2 logo.

Players know Sam as the porter who carries the burden of reconnecting a fragmented world, despite isolation, exhaustion and lingering trauma. That mix of weariness and determination comes through in the bust: his face is serious beneath tousled hair, with a calm, resolute expression that feels very true to the character. His raised hand holds a small human-shaped figure dangling from a string, echoing the series’ themes of control, fate and the fragility of human lives. The straps, harness and gear across his chest clearly identify him as the courier at the heart of the story, still moving forward through a world that resists being stitched back together.

From a design standpoint, the piece relies on sculpted depth rather than color. The tar-black finish covers everything yet highlights each fold in his jacket, every strap of his equipment and each strand of hair.
